Hemp Didgeridoos are musical instruments made from Hemp fibre using a revolutionary new technology. The material is a bioplastic named Zelfo. It has a similar resonance to the hard woods used in traditional Australian termite eaten instruments and hence is perfect for the creation of good sounding didgeridoos.
Hemp Didgeridoos are individual instruments in the keys of D to G. Every instrument has unique qualities and resonance and they sound great.
For those on the move Hemp Didge also has the Traveller range of lightweight and easy to play didgeridoos.
Hemp Didge acknowledges and gives utmost respect to the traditional custodians of the didgeridoo*2, the Indigenous People of Australia. A percentage of every sale of a hemp didgeridoo is given to Music Outback to support Indigenous Australians to maintain their cultural integrity, play music and keep their songs and language alive.
*1 Hemp Didges are made from ZEOFORM (previously known as Zelfo or hempstone). Hempstone was previously produced in Europe. ZEO International is now the commercial production facility that has taken and improved the machinery required to produce ZEOFORM (Zelfo, hempstone). Professional didges are coated with resin to ensure high water-resistant. Hemp and travel didges coated with water-resistant eco-coatings.
*2 Didgeridoo is sometimes spelt didjeridoo, didge, didje, didjeridu, yidaki and more. All refer to either the Authentic Australian Traditional Aboriginal Musical Instrument that is similar in sound to our unique Hemp Didge's - new eco instruments.
